The Dirty one's quoted in the newspaper

Our local Brompton dealer here in Tucson, Metrognome Music and Cycle to Go, got a little write-up done in the local newspaper (The Arizona Daily Star).  The store owner, Todd, directed in interviewer to me to answer any questions she had for the article.  That was pretty cool.  She called me at my lunch hour at work, so I hope I didn't sound too dumb.

Interbike 2013

Sorry it's been so long, I've just seem to have gotten super busy lately.  In an attempt to try to catch up, I'm just going to crank them out quick and dirty style.

I was lucky enough to go to Interbike in late September which was held at the Mandalay Bay convention center in Las Vegas.  Got to catch up a little with the US Brompton reps, and also met some other characters from Brompton HQ (including Will Butler-Adams).

A couple of cool things that Brompton came out with were different colored saddles and grips, as well as a London Map flap for the S-Bag.

Here is a video (not mine) of the Brompton booth:

MetroGnome Music & Cycle to Go - Tucson's first Brompton dealer!

I am excited to announce that MetroGnome Music & Cycle to Go is the first Brompton dealer in Tucson.  I have a previous post about his store.  The store is owned and operated by Todd Crawford (aka the fastest Brompton folder in the US).  They have the full gamut of Brompton bicycles, parts and accessories.

MetroGnome also carries other cycling related accessories from Park Tool, Nutcase and more!  I am hoping to coordinate demo rides around town with perspective (and current) Brompton owners!

In addition to cycling gear, MetroGnome also carries new and used musical instruments, vinyl records, video games and DVDs (I have bought several bass guitars there!).  The Stereo Hospital, who do repairs on older hi-fi stereo systems, is also located inside the store.

Here are a few entertaining videos that the crew at MetroGnome put together:

My guest spot on NYCewheels

Peter from NYCewheels asked me if I would contribute a piece for their website.  I was honored that Peter had read my blog and gave me this opportunity.  I decided that this would be a good opportunity to write a more comprehensive post about my first year with the Brompton.

Another really good reason to have a Brompton

A TucsonVelo blog post gives us another reason to love our Bromptons... we can fold them up, take them inside, and not have to worry about someone defecating near them.  Gross.

The bike rack at the Main Downtown Tucson library was hidden out of view from security inside the building, so it provided cover for drug dealers and other people to, um, do their business.  The bike rack will be relocated to a more visible location soon.

Stay classy Tucson!
